Authority Takes Part In Child Abuse Prevention Event

Saturday, May 11, 2019, staff from the Tioga County Housing Authority took part in an event on the Green in Wellsboro, PA supporting an end to Child Abuse and an increased awareness of Foster Care. The event was the culmination of efforts throughout the months of April and May to better the lives of children residing in Tioga County.

Building Managers, Brian Burket, Lisa Drake, and Cindy Roupp distributed information on affordable housing, handed out Frisbees and bubbles and played games with attendees throughout the morning and afternoon. Children who participated were eligible to win a free hover board courtesy of the Authority.  Seven-year-old, Aiden Thompson (pictured below) was the lucky winner!
