Back to School with TBHRA!

School-aged tenants throughout public housing in Tioga and Bradford Counties celebrated the back to school season with new school supplies, new clothes, and for some, new backpacks courtesy of the Tioga/Bradford Housing Authority and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Pictured below, Marina, Hayli and Wyatt, kindergarten and first grade students living in Multi-Family Housing, model their new backpacks they received as part of the Power Pack Backpack Program.

Thanks to donations from Walmart and Why Not You Ministries, more than 80 children received school supplies (including pencils, erasers, notebooks, folders, crayons, glue and high lighters) and clothing (including tshirts, shorts, pants and sweaters).  All of the parents and children were extremely excited to receive the supplies, noting that new school supplies and clothes can often be a very expensive part of back to school time.
