Fresh Express Expands to Tioga County
In addition to three existing sites in Bradford County, the Tioga/Bradford Housing Authority and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank have added an additional distribution site in Blossburg for its Fresh Express Program. Tenants residing at Riverside Park, a public housing building that serves elderly, disabled and handicapped residents, will now be receiving free food once a month from the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
Residents received their first food delivery on Tuesday, October 7th, and more than 50 people received fresh cabbage, tomatoes, potatoes, yogurt, juice, assorted breads and baked goods. TBHRA staff attended the event, and assisted with the setup and distribution of food. “We are extremely pleased to add Blossburg to our Fresh Express delivery sites,” said Kelley Cevette, Executive Director. “The turnout for the program was wonderful.”
